No Powerball Winner in RI; Winning Tickets Sold in AZ and MO

With a $580 million prize on the line, Rhode Island residents come up empty on the big prize.

 

A half billion-dollars was on the line in the latest Powerball drawing Wednesday night — and it looks as though the jackpot will go to someone outside Rhode Island. 

The $580 million winning Powerball numbers have been selected and people across Rhode Island were waking up Thursday checking their tickets to see if they were new millionaires.

But the winning tickets were actually sold down south and out west according to lottery officials. As of Thursday morning winning tickets were sold in Arizona and Missouri. 

The winning Powerball numbers for the Nov. 28, 2012 drawing are 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and a Powerball number of 6.

Powerball is held in 42 states, The U.S. Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.
