Have Something To Say? Blog On JohnstonPatch!

Patch.com is adding a platform for local bloggers on May 4 — and you can lend your voice to JohnstonPatch.

Beginning May 4, JohnstonPatch will be making room for local bloggers on our site.

We're looking for bloggers who can riff on various topics, share their personality, and engage our readers in discussions.

As you have no doubt noticed, JohnstonPatch is more than a news site — it's an online conversation about our community. Beginning May 4, we're offering folks who know the town a chance to lead that conversation.

This isn't a reporting job. It's blogging. You write what you want to say when you want to say it. Do it on your schedule — whether that's posting multiple entries per day, or a couple of times a month.

Patch won't own what you post, so you can repost your entries to your other blogs. Much like The Huffington Post has done, Patch is providing local bloggers an online platform to have their words seen by a larger audience.

My role as editor would be to review blog entries submitted to JohnstonPatch to ensure quality. I may make small spelling, grammar and style changes to help your blog shine.

More than anything, though: Be interesting. Be provocative. Be yourself.

If you'd like to chat about the opportunity to share your unique voice with JohnstonPatch readers, let me know by emailing joseph.hutnak@patch.com or by calling me at (401) 369-1659.
