The Mohr Library hosts discussions on "The Declaration" and "The Plague."
Join the Mohr Library for its Readers' Lair Book Club for students in grades 6 through 12..
Tonight the group discusses The Declaration by Gemma Malley. If there is time, the group may also discuss the latest book in the Gone series, The Plague by Michael Grant.
"The Declaration" is set in 2140 England, where drugs enable people to live forever and children are illegal. Teenaged Anna, an obedient "surplus" training to become a house servant, discovers that her birth parents are trying to find her.

"The Plague" is about a deadly, flu-like epidemic and a plague of flesh-eating creatures that threaten the lives of the children at Perdido Beach while Sam, Astrid, Caine and Diana each struggle with doubts and uncertainties.
