EVENT OF THE DAY: Crime Prevention
The annual National Night Out takes place today at 5 p.m. at Johnston Memorial Park.
Join your friends and neighbors — and maybe meet some new ones — while helping heighten the community's awareness of crime and drug prevention.
The Johnston Police Department and the Johnston Community Policing Association will host the 28th annual National Night Out tonight at Johnston Memorial Park, Hartford and Memorial avenues beginning at 5 p.m. today
The event is part of a national effort designed to generate support for local anti-crime programs, and strengthen the relationship between the local police department and the community.
