Starting A Business? Need Capital?

Webster Bank is scheduled to host a small business workshop tomorrow in Warwick.

Webster Bank, a leading New England financial institution, announced it will host a free breakfast networking event and workshop for small businesses called, “Access to Capital,” on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Warwick, R.I.

Rhode Island General Treasurer Gina Raimondo will be on hand to deliver welcoming remarks.  The workshop will be presented by Robert F. Polito, senior vice president, government guaranteed lending, for Webster Bank.

Workshop topics will include business planning, proper use of bank capital, and general bank credit requirements as they apply to all stages of a business’s life cycle. Polito will also discuss how to apply for bank financing and the importance of cash flow and personal credit.
