Meet The New Chamber Board

The North Central Chamber of Commerce held its annual board meeting and election of officers on Jan. 27.

A group of 20 local business owners and representatives of nonprofit agencies gathered on Jan. 27 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital to celebrate the start of the 's 30th year with the election of a new slate of officers.

Members of the board elected Randy Rauso from the Village at Waterman Lake in Smithfield as Chairman of the Board of Directors; Anthony Spremulli of AccuTrust Mortgage and Jen Giroux from Rhode Island College as first and second vice chairs, respectively; Donna Sebastianelli of the John E. Fogarty Center to secretary; and Robert Villucci of Navigant Credit Union to treasurer. Geoffrey Greene of Robbins Funeral Home was named member at-large.

Chamber President Deb Ramos explained in a previous interview that the board of directors is charged with overseeing the strategic goals of the organization and helping members network with other members.

Board members also serve on various committees, including the group that organizes the annual Johnston Apple Festival, which this year is celebrating its 25th anniversary, Ramos said.
