Kountry Kitchen Named 'Best Breakfast in RI'

The Little Lee's Breakfast in America blog recently held a poll to find the best breakfast spot in Rhode Island — and Kountry Kitchen in Greenville took the top honor.

Kountry Kitchen, just off Rte. 44 on the Johnston/Smithfield line, has been known as one of the best places for breakfast in the local area — and thanks to a national blogger, the local breakfast spot has earned the title of "Best Breakfast in Rhode Island."

Little Lee's Breakfast in America blog, which features writer Lee Rice visiting restaurants in all 50 states, listed Kountry Kitchen among about three dozen Rhode Island places and asked for reader feedback and votes.

And when the votes were tallied, Kountry Kitchen — whose owners recently celebrated 15 years at the location — stood above the rest.

On May 2, Rice presented the restaurant with a plaque recognizing the accomplishment.

"It was nice — I've got customers saying, 'You're a superstar,'" explained co-owner Thierry Delos. "And that's nice — big compliments."

Asked what he thinks continues to draw crowds to Kountry Kitchen — especially on the weekends — Delos said: "People know they're going to get a meal where they're getting taken care of by the wait staff and the kitchen — they know it's all family here."
