Dave's Stores to Sell Aerosmith Drummer's New Coffee

Joey Kramer recently unveiled his new "Rockin' and Roastin'" line of whole bean coffees, to be sold at Dave's stores in nearby Smithfield starting in August.

The coffee selection at Dave's Market place will soon get a rock n' roll kick, with the addition of the "Rockin' and Roastin'" brand created by Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer.

Dave's has stores at Smithfield Crossings and on Cedar Swamp Road in nearby Smithfield.

Kramer announced the partnership — making Dave's among the first two New England retailers to carry the new organic coffee brand — in a statement on the Rockin' and Roastin' website.

“Teaming up with a retailer like Dave’s is a real ‘win’ in my book," Kramer said in the statement. "Their focus on organic and sustainable goods is something I really admire and right in line with the Rockin’ & Roastin’ brand.”

According to Kramer, his coffees are made from "shade grown" beans, providing sustainable farming and protecting the environment.

The three brews — Ethopia, Guatemala, and Sumatra — are expected to go on sale at Dave's in mid-August for $7.99 to $8.99 for a 12-oz. bag.

Kramer isn't the first big name to bring his wares to the independent supermarket chain — TV chef Tyler Florence recently made an appearance at the Smithfield Crossings store to promote his new book.
