Chamber To Participate In Small Business Saturday

The North Central Chamber of Commerce is scheduled to open its doors from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 26.

As part of "Small Business Saturday," set for Nov. 26, the is scheduled to open its office from 9 a.m. to noon and offer incentives for business owners who start or renew their membership.

"I've been looking online, and we are one of the few, if any, of the Chambers in the country who are participating in Small Business Saturday," Chamber President Deb Ramos said during a recent interview. "We're not only supporting it, but we're also going to participate."

While Ramos said she wasn't ready to disclose the incentives for new and renewing members, she did mention that they can be used by the business owners for themselves, or work as gifts for the holiday season.

Ramos said existing members can add a year to their current memberships prior to their scheduled 2012 expirations, and noted that Chamber memberships are tax deductible since it's a nonprofit organization.

Membership to the Chamber costs $295 per year.
