Bites Nearby: English Muffin

Every week, we'll take a look at a locally-owned eatery.

I have a huge appetite first thing in the morning, so breakfast is always on my mind when I wake up. I have met my match, something I cannot eat by myself – and that’s the breakfast at

My guest and I decided to split an omlette, with an additional order of toast and split an order of stuffed French toast.

Truthfully, I am glad we did, because despite splitting, neither of us cleaned our plates. The portions here are huge and filling, so do not come with a light appetite.

Sampling from the menu:

  • Omlette with hash, onions and cheddar cheese, with home fries, $8.15
  • Strawberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast, $7.45
  • Side of Italian toast, $1.00
  • Side of hollandaise sauce, $1.00
  • Apple Juice, $2.25
  • Bottomless coffee, $1.75

Restaurant was surprisingly quiet when we arrived around 9:30 a.m., but began to fill in. Waitstaff are attentive and persistently pleasant, which helped ease my stomach’s growl due to the delay in the kitchen.

Other things to note:

  • Watch your add-ons in the omlette, you can turn out to have a pretty costly bill if you add in too many ingredients.
  • Our waitress informed us this place is chaotic on the weekends, it is best to get their early or at the tail end of the breakfast rush for more flexible seating.
  • Seasonal and chef specials are offered and changed frequently.

Breakfast for two—hash, onion and cheddar omlette, stuffed French toast, side of toast and hollandaise sauce, served with bottomless coffee and a glass of apple juice:

$23.33 + 20-percent tip = $28.00
