5 Things: Starting the Scaries

A freaky flick at Mohr Library heads today's 5 Things to Know for the first day of October.

1. Scary: Halloween may be at the end of the month, but Mohr Library is getting into the act early with today's showing of Arachnophobia, the creepy flick about a town with a little spider problem. PG-13. For students in grades 6 to 12.

2. Science: If your kid's not into the spooky stuff just yet, Mohr is also hosting a meeting of its Science Club tonight at 6:30 pm. Today's question: What does Isaac Newton's first law of gravity have to do with Abraham Lincoln?
