5 Things, Feb. 24: Critters, Munslow, Rain

Here's your Friday edition of 5 Things To Know Today for Feb. 24, 2012.

Critters: We've got all sorts of kids activities on the JohnstonPatch Calendar today — here are the three choicest:

  • Build: The Audubon Society at Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge in Smithfield hosts Build a Bluebird House starting at 11 a.m. Cost is $20 per member adult/child pair; $25 per non-member adult/child pair; $15 for each additional birdhouse kit. Recommended for children ages 5 and older.
  • Create: Marian J. Mohr Library gives kids the chance to make their own foam critters today at 11 a.m. Free.
  • Munslow: If you've never heard of singer and storyteller Keith Munslow, you'll want to get to the Providence Childrens' Museum for one of his three shows — 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Admission is $8.50.

Rain: A wet and gray day is on tap, according to the JohnstonPatch Weatherbug forecast. Chance of rain diminishes overnight, mostly sunny skies forecast for Saturday.
