Video: '41 Signs Of Hope'

Dave Kane is the author of "41 Signs of Hope," a story about dealing with the aftermath of the Station Nightclub Fire in 2003.

Dave Kane visited library on Sept. 19 to discuss his book 41 Signs of Hope.

In the presentation, Kane talked about his son Nicholas, who at 18, was the youngest victim of the Station Nightclub Fire in 2003. Throughout the discussion, Kane described messages he and his family received from Nicholas to let them know he wasn't really gone, and that he was okay.

For Kane, these signs can take many forms. Those who have lost someone just need to be aware of them, he said.

"There are all kinds of signs — Music, coins, feathers. They're not coincidences," explained Kane.

In an e-mail message on Sept. 20, Kane wrote that he is seeking to bring his presentation to nonprofit organizations to help them raise funds.
