Scituate Art Festival Continues; 3 Johnston Vendors Participating

Today is the second day of the three-day Scituate Art Festival — here's the scoop on what's happening.

The Scituate Art Festival rolls on to a second day, featuring local artists from around Rhode Island, including two from Johnston.

Here are the details on the second day of the festival, Oct. 9:

Hours: The festival is scheduled to run today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission: Free.

Vendors And Other Info: Cyndi Stanton (stained glass) and William MacGregor (watercolors), both of Johnston, are among the dozens of local artists who are scheduled to be on hand. How To Get There: For those of us in Johnston, there are a couple of ways to reach the Scituate Village Green:

  • Plainfield Pike (Rte. 14) west to Rte. 116, then right onto Rte. 116 to Danielson Pike;
  • Hartford Avenue (Rte. 6) west to the Danielson Pike split, then either direction to the intersection with 116.

Where To Park: Most parking is along local roads, though many folks park in lots where the businesses are closed (the Bank of America branch on Sunday, for example).

Entertainment: The Nightlife Orchestra is scheduled to take the stage today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Knuf said follows up from 2 to 4 p.m. Subject to weather conditions.
