Grab & Go — Great Places To Take The Kids

Summer Camp: The W. Alton Jones Campus of the University of Rhode Island hosts a summer camp open house May 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are programs from kids from 5 to 17 years old set on the 2,300-acre campus, way down in West Greenwich.

Crafts At Mohr: Marian J. Mohr Library continues its weekly drop-in craft program on May 7 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Try not to stick your hands together.

Not Too Late To Skate: Smithfield Ice Rink is still open for public skating; this week it'll be open on May 8 from noon to 2 p.m. Admission $3, skate rentals $5.

Moms Play Free: May 8 is Mother's Day, and the Providence Children's Museum is offering free admission for moms and grandmothers. Kids can create fabric art between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.; wonder how many of them will say "I Love You Mom."
