Chamber's Winter Expo: The North Central Chamber of Commerce takes over the campus of Rhode Island College for its Winter Community Expo from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Demonstrations by local businesses, music, and a chicken soup cook-off are all part of the festivities. Support our local companies and try some tasty chicken soup. Tickets are just $5; the Expo will take place in the RIC Student Union ballroom.

Raymond Carver Series Continues: Marian J. Mohr Memorial Library continues its author series on Raymond Carver on Saturday at 3 p.m. with short story reading.

Little League Registration: Johnston Little League registration concludes on Saturday at Ferri Middle School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Check out the Little League website for up-to-date information.

John Gordon Play: The Park Theater in Cranston hosts another weekend of "The Murder Trial of John Gordon," a gripping look at the infamous 1843 murder case against an Irish immigrant, the last person to be executed in Rhode Island. Student and seniors tickets $25.
