The Johnston Police Department (JPD) and the Johnston Community Policing Association (JCPA) will host the 28th Annual National Night Out (NNO) tonight at Johnston Memorial Park beginning at 5 p.m.
The event is part of a national effort designed to heighten the community's awareness of crime and drug prevention, generate support for local anti-crime programs, and strengthen the relationship between the local police department and the community.
The evening will feature entertainment and refreshments. The event is open to the public and is free.
