Kindergarten Registration: Johnston Public Schools opens registration for kidergarten classes today from 8 to 11 a.m. and 12 to 2:30 p.m. Children must be 5 years of age by Sept. 1, 2011, to be eligible. Call 401-233-0081 to schedule your appointment.

Women's History Month: Marian J. Mohr Library hosts a celebration of Women's History Month this afternoon at 3 p.m. for students in grades 6 to 12. Don't go without reviewing our 5 Things To Know from this past Friday.

Lace 'Em Up: Smithfield Municipal Ice Rink is open for public hockey from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is $5 per player, goalies skate free. You must have full equipment to be allowed on the ice.

Bingo To Benefit Youth Sports: The Rivieria Bingo Club in Cranston holds another Monday night benefit to support Johnston youth sports. The $13 entry fee gives you a shot at the $1,000 grand prize.
