Enter And Win — For Our Schools: Today is the kick-off for the Patch.com "Deck the House" national contest to find the best-decorated houses in our communities — and the winner's school district will win $100,000. Check out this article for more information and links to contest rules.
Mohr Programs: Marian J. Mohr Library, 1 Memorial Ave., hosts the following activities today:
- After School crafts for students in grades 6 through 12 at 2:30 p.m.; today's activity is making popsicle stick reindeer decorations.
- Reader's Lair for kids in grades 2 through 5 at 6:30 p.m.; the featured book is Tornado by Betsy Byars.
Hue, No Cry: Providence Children's Museum opens its Discovery Studio from 10 a.m. to noon for a light and color activity that teaches the science of color mixing. Check out the Greenville Public Library's museum pass web page for discount tickets ($2 per person, instead of $8.50).

Art For All: The Rhode Island School of Design Museum offers two programs:
- Family See + Sketch: Tales of Colonial Home, which includes a 30-minute talk, sketching, and activities in the galleries. For kids 6 and older (plus caregivers).
- Art + Design Lab for High School Students from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., a free art class; email museumyouth@risd.edu to reserve your spot.
