All kinds of earth-friendly activities; a fundraiser for the Johnston school music program; and today in history: the first Earth Day.

Celebrate At Mohr: Marian J. Mohr Library is set to host an Earth Day Celebration today at 11 a.m. Max Man, the Recycling Super Hero (think Duff Man, but with a better mission) is scheduled to appear.

Party For The Planet: Roger Williams Park Zoo also celebrates Earth Day, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Programs are free with paid admission.

At Providence Childrens Museum: Four 20-minute comedy shows about recycling are scheduled between 10:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Titled "No Time To Waste," the shows are designed for kids from 5 to 11 years old.
