Video: Red Hat Society At The Bridge
The group of seniors meets monthly at the local assisted living facility.
Residents of met on Aug. 30 for the monthly Red Hat Society meeting. Members enjoyed tea and pastries, and played a word game during the second half of the hour.
The Red Hat Society began in England by a woman turning 50 who wanted to celebrate getting older and to bring women together in friendship.
Over the years, women in the United States began holding their own meetings. The Bridge is scheduled to host a Red Hat Society Meet-and-Greet on Sept. 13.
