[PHOTOS] More from the Apple Festival

A few souls braved the nasty weather on Sept. 30 to enjoy the second day of the Apple Festival.

Despite the rain on Sept. 30, there were still some people who braved the weather for the 25th North Central Chamber of Commerce Apple Festival, sponsored by Citizens Bank, at Johnston Memorial Park.

At noontime, festival organizers cancelled the scheduled entertainers and activities due to the rain — including the apple pie-eating contest and afternoon performances by Steve Falk & Country Line Dancers and the High Steppin' Dance Academy.

The sun did make an appearance later in the day for a brief time, providing a bit of light near the end of the two-day event.
