Mohr Library Offers Snowy Start to New Year

On Jan. 2, children can learn the science behind winter weather while making a craft.

Kids love snow. They love snowball fights, building snowmen and snow days from school, but do they know exactly how the wintry white stuff is created?

As part of its "After School Adventures" series, the Marian J. Mohr Memorial Library (1 Memorial Ave.) is hosting "Snow!" on Jan. 2 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The free program is directed at children in grades K-3 and will allow them the opportunity to discover how snow and other precipitation is made. Instructor Ms. Michelle will also show the group how to make a sparkly snowflake craft.
