Kent County Customers Told To Boil Water

A boil-water order was issued for customers of the Kent County Water Authority and residents in the Potowomut section of Warwick Sunday afternoon, after tests showing unsafe levels of E. Coli bacteria in the water. 

Tuesday, Sept. 24

Baby Left In Hot Car Released From Hospital

A baby that was left in a parked car for more than two hours was released from the hospital Monday and is "doing well," according to Newport Police Lt. William Fitzgerald.

Wednesday, Sept. 25

Water Authority Lifts Boil-Water Advisory

Shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, the Rhode Island Department of Health announced that the boil-water advisory that has been in place for customers of the Kent County Water Authority and for Potowomut customers of the City of Warwick Water since Sunday, has now been lifted.

Spooky World Coming to Cranston 

The granddaddy of haunted houses, Spooky World, has come to Rhode Island, having opened over the weekend in Cranston.

Man Hit By Truck On Newport Naval Base Dies

A man died Thursday night after being struck by a government vehicle Thursday around 1 p.m., according to Lisa Rama, a spokeswoman for the Newport Naval Base.

Cops Seek Suspect in Dunkin' Robbery Attempt

Coventry Police detectives are attempting to identify and learn the whereabouts of a male suspect who attempted to rob the New London Turnpike Dunkin' Donuts Wednesday.
