Five Things for Wednesday: Book Club, Caregivers Support Group & More

Johnston Weather:

  • Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 49. North wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
  • Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 32. North wind around 9 mph.

Caregivers Support Group: The Johnston Senior Center is scheduled to hold a Caregivers Support Group with Ann Mulhall on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. at the Center. For more information call the Center at 401-944-3343. Dates and times for events are subject to change. Call ahead to confirm.

Book Club: For students in grades 6 through 12. Reader’s Lair meets at the Marian J. Mohr Memorial Library, 1 Memorial Ave, Johnston. The group will be discussing Shelter by Harlan Coben.  Coben is a popular author of suspenseful thrillers for adults. This is his debut young adult novel. Meeting starts at 6:30pm.

Initially, though, the book about Captain Ahab and his quest for a giant white whale was a flop.
