Autism Project Camp Marks 10th Year

The Johnston agency hosts a two-week summer camp in Cranston for kids with autism spectrum disorders.

This year marks the 10th annual "Move, Think, Create and Communicate" summer camp program hosted by of Johnston.

According to a press release issued by the agency, the summer program "is designed to provide children and teens with an ASD [Autism Spectrum Disorder] a chance for real life experiences and an opportunity to learn leisure skills while meeting new friends."

The Autism Project estimated that 100 children would be taking part in the camp program, which holds its second session from August 15 through 19 at the Champlin Reservation in Cranston.
