Widely regarded as one of the most influential blues guitarists of all time, B.B. King and his famous guitar, Lucille, have been touring tirelessly for more than 60 years.  Ranked by Rolling Stone magazine at Number 6 on its list of The 100 Greatest Guitarists, the “King of the Blues” was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1980 and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.  King has won more than a dozen Grammy Awards over the years and earned the Grammy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987.  In addition, his classic song “The Thrill is Gone” received the Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 1988.  Not one to rest on his laurels, King was awarded the Kennedy Centers Honors in 1995 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2006.

Roots, country and swamp rockers from San Jose, California, the Doobie Brothers have sold over 30 million albums in the United Sates, enjoyed #1 singles and albums and earned multiple Grammy Awards.  The band’s second album, Toulouse Street, featuring the classic rock staples, “Listen to the Music” and “Jesus is Just Alright”, brought the band its breakthrough success in 1972.  A string of hits soon followed, including “Long Train Running”, “China Grove” and South City Midnight Lady”, as well as the 1974 hit, “Black Water” which was the band’s first #1 single and propelled the album, What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits to multi-Platinum status.  In 1976 the band’s greatest hits compilation, Best of the Doobies, was released and the Recording Industry Association of America certified it “Diamond” in 1996 for sales in excess of ten million.

The Doobie Brothers popularity reached its zenith in 1978 with the release of the album, Minute by Minute.  It spent five weeks at the top of the music charts and the song, “What a Fool Believes” was the band’s second #1 single and earned the Doobie Brothers two Grammy awards for “Pop Vocal Performance by a Group” along with “Album of the Year.” Since the late Seventies, the band has toured and cut several more albums, including Cycles in 1989 which featured the Top Ten single, ”The Doctor” and was certified Gold.  The Doobie Brothers latest album, released in 2010, is entitled, World Gone Crazy and is an analogy of the band as a whole.

The popular pop-rock band, OneRepublic, released it debut album, Dreaming Out Loud, in 2007 and it went platinum in the United States and gold in Austria, Australia and Canada thanks in part to hit singles “Apologize” and “Stop and Stare”.  The band followed up its first album release with Waking Up in 2009 featuring the hit single “All the Right Moves” which charted in the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Native, released earlier this year, is the band’s highest charting album to date, debuting at Number 4 on the Billboard 200.  The album’s hit single, “Feel Again” was certified platinum.
