Town Council Meeting — Dec. 12
The Johnston Town Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. at the municipal court, 1600 Atwood Ave.
Tonight at 7 p.m., the Johnston Town Council is scheduled to hold its first meeting at the newly-relocated Johnston Municipal Court at 1600 Atwood Ave., the former location of Marian J. Mohr Library.
According to the agenda for tonight's session — a copy of which is attached to this article — town councilors are expected to consider a measure that would authorize Mayor Joseph Polisena to issue bids for the design and installation of a new heating system at the Johnston Police Department.
The work at the police department follows the recent start of a similar project at nearby Johnston High School to replace the aging boilers, which were original to the school when it opened in the 1960s.
Also on tonight's agenda are several business license transfers and a resolution allowing Polisena to sign a contract for installation of a fuel depot at the police department.
