Readers' Choice, Best St. Pat's Day Spot: Crown & Anchor Tavern
Several local spots competed for honors in this week's poll — and Crown & Anchor edged out its competition for the win.
The results are in on this week's poll asking readers for their favorite local place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day — and it's probably no surprise that an English-themed tavern, Crown & Anchor, took top honors.
In the end, it was a battle between two bars that recently moved into former locations of... bars. Crown & Anchor is where Player's Pub and Rhode Island Alehouse "used-tah-be." Part II Lounge (at the former site of Sebastian's on Plainfield Street) finished a close second.
Ball's Sport Bar garnered third place and Ribs & Company and Bar 101 finished tied for fourth.
So, if you're headed to the Crown & Tavern tomorrow, raise a pint to their victory on JohnstonPatch — and check out this article on its opening from the Johnston Insider.
Starting Monday morning at 6 a.m., we'll start up the newest Readers' Choice poll on best park or playground in Johnston.
