Drinking: Is there a local place that carries your favorite brew, vino, or single-malt? This week's Readers' Poll is on the best liquor store in Johnston — cast your vote and have your say.

Jawing: When he learned of Delta Dental's statement that the town could have saved more than the $130,000 that he'd announced recently, Mayor Joseph Polisena had some choice words in reply.

Raining: Hope you got the lawn cut over the weekend — looks as though the greenery will get yet another hefty drink, according to the JohnstonPatch WeatherBug forecast. Chance of rain extends through Wednesday night.

Blogging: You are — or know — someone in Johnston who's always got something to say, so why not start (or encourage your friend to start) a blog on JohnstonPatch? We make it ridiculously easy to get started.

Failing: On this date last year, we reported on the reaction of Deb Ramos, president of the North Central Chamber of Commerce, on news that Gov. Lincoln Chafee's proposals for tax hikes on some businesses had failed.
