Find Good Friday Fish & Chips in Johnston
Today's the last Friday of the Catholic meat prohibition. Get your seafood in Johnston.
Next weekend, Catholics in town will be free to eat whatever they want on any day. But for one more Friday, meat is off the table.
But don't let that stop you from going out to dinner tonight. Why not seek out the traditional Friday-during-Lent fish & chips dinner? Here's a selection of places in town that offer take-out or dine in, depending on your preference — be sure to call or visit early, as their customers will likely be packed like sardines.

Why do you have West Side Deli listed? They've been closed for at least 3 years. How do I know if any other information you're printing is true?

Obviously this is a reprint from the past. If the Patch wants to be a source of local content, they need to be out in the community. This wouldn't be a list of places to try if they knew Johnston. One place closed and one doesn't even serve traditional Fish & Chips.
